Firewall Setup

In order to provide you with the best possible experience, GSC and its components must connect to multiple servers to receive service. Depending on your network configuration, you may have to adjust firewall or security software to configure GSC. The following is a list of ports and DNS servers GSC uses:

  • 80 - Login, update, and FileSwap servers, GSC Installer
  • 443 - Login, update, and FileSwap servers
  • 15668 - Chat servers, part of login process
  • 1000 - Voice servers - GSC 1.00
  • 8000 through 10000, * - Voice servers - GSC 2.00

On some firewalls, you may need to set GSC traffic to 'allow all'.


HTTP Proxy Servers

In addition to the firewall setup, our software does not currently support HTTP proxy servers. Depending on your system configuration, you may need to disable proxy servers to update and log into GSC.
