General Voice Panel

Description

The General admin panel has a general overview of your voice server with most settings configurable right on that page.

Accessing

  • On your Voice Server click on the Admin menu and then on the Manage..." menu item.
  • Click the Admin button under the user tree on the Voice Server window.
  • When in your voice server admin area, click on the General panel.


Settings

Quick Look

  • Name: The name associated with your voice server. Users will see this in the title bar of their voice channel and also can be used in the Voice Server Search to find your server.
  • Location: The physical location of your hosted voice server. Pick a location that works best for your users with their connection.
  • Vocoder: Codec used to speak with others. Better codecs require more bandwidth.
  • Owner, Privileged Users, Bans, Date Created, Max Users: General Statistics about your voice server.

Join Permissions

  • Security: Select a filter to determine which users may join the server. None means there is no restriction. Registered Users only means only users added in the Users Panel can join the server. Password means the users must enter the correct password to join the server.
  • Record Permissions: Select which groups of users are able to record voice chat in your server.
  • Talk Permissions: Select which groups of users are able to speak in your server.
  • Force push to talk users only: Users must have a PTT key rather than voice activation to use your server.
  • Mute incoming users: Users automatically mute themselves upon joining.

Operations

  • Delete voice server: Permanently remove this server.
  • Transfer ownership: You will loose your owner status and give it to another user.
  • Clear settings: Resets voice server to default settings when it was first created.
