Description

The In-Game settings panel allows you to change options regarding the GSC in-game chat and screenshots.

Accessing

  • Open the File menu on the Friends List and click the Settings menu item.
  • Click on the In-Game panel when the settings window is open.

Service

  • Enable in-game service: Sets whether or not the in-game service is active for games you play. Games can also have the in-game service disabled individually.

Chat

  • Enable in-game chat: Select whether in-game chat is enabled or not. More configurable settings on the right.
  • Log game time to profile: Send your game time to your online profile.
  • Always visible: Make the GSC in-game screen always visible so you don't have to use your hot key to toggle its visibility.
  • Notify on new message: Show a little window to tell you that you have a new message. On the right you can change its position with "Notifiy Positon"
  • Show who's talking: Show a little window to tell you who is currently talking. On the right you can configure it with "Talkers Position" and "Max Talkers."
  • Show offline users: Be able to navigate through your offline friends too when you use the arrow keys to change a person to talk to.
  • Hotkey: Change which key opens your in-game chat.
  • Shortcuts: Global in-game hotkeys to change position and size.

  • You can edit a hotkey to take a screenshot and a save location.

Definitions

In-Game Service: Software module which manages in-game related tasks.
In-Game Chat: Window overlay which functions as a chat session while playing a game.
IGC: Abbreviation for In-Game Chat
Talkers: Window overlay which shows who is currently speaking in current voice rooms while playing a game.
